The New York State Department of Conservation has issued a warning pertaining to a pest infestation of firewood as close as Western New York. These insects are capable of killing large sections of forests.

DUE TO THE DETECTION OF THE EMERALD ASH BORER AND SUBSEQUENT FIREWOOD QUARANTINE OF ALBANY COUNTY, WE CAN NO LONGER ALLOW ANY WOOD TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE PARK.
